Solution Sessions

Parents and professionals can book a 1 hour online session with us to talk through a challenging situation and to identify solutions and clear next steps. A summary record will be provided after the session.

Also available are regular blocks of counselling and mentoring sessions for professionals or parents.

Reflective Spaces

Reflective Spaces is the Hearts and Heads innovative approach to staff supervision to support the wellbeing of leaders, teams and staff. We know that the working environment can be challenging, regardless of your job role or place in an organisation. We fully comprehend how staff can be stretched and stressed, forgetting their passions and purpose. We meet too many individuals who are stuck in survival mode and feeling burnt out.

Our reflective spaces bring therapy and educational leadership together in a unique approach allowing an individual to be heard, supported and reset to gain new perspectives and co-construct actionable, practical strategies. They are an excellent way for trust and school leaders to invest in their staff.

All sessions are run with Sara and Sarah in order to get the value of our combined skills and expertise. Our model has been particularly welcomed by headteachers and school leaders who are often supporting their staff, pupils and families and their community.

Parent Workshops

Would you like to be able to point your parents in the direction of some evidence-based support that empowers and equips them to support their child's education. We offer a series of online monthly evening workshops focusing on topics including the development of the brain; anxiety; behaviour; transitions and more.

More information and how to book can be found here

Pupil Consultation

We will come into school and work with you to unpick a child's needs and barriers. This can involve:

  • a pre-visit online consultation

  • an observation of the pupil in school

  • support to complete and analyse assessments including The Boxall Profile and other tools

  • verbal and written feedback

  • ongoing support and training for staff

For more information see here.

Ahead Therapy

Ahead Therapy is our therapeutic intervention model designed to support children and young people who are struggling to engage with and enjoy learning. This might be pupils who are struggling to attend school; those who struggle to attend lessons or those who find it difficult to manage the expectations of the classroom.

Ahead Therapy can be used with an individual pupil; a small group and as the structure for an internal alternative provision.

We provide training and ongoing support to staff to deliver Ahead Therapy and to be able to demonstrate its impact.

For details of our next training session see here.

CPD; Inset; Workshops

We are passionate about sharing the most recent knowledge and theory in the areas of neuroscience; child development; attachment theory; the pedagogy of learning and how we can support behaviour. Alongside this we provide actionable, hands-on ways in which the theory can be lived out in classrooms through everyday practice and provision. Topics we cover include:

  • The Developing Child (from pre-birth to adolescence)

  • Solution mapping for complex behaviours

  • Attachment in the classroom

  • Trauma Responsive Schools: Theory to Practice

  • The anxious child: what to do

  • Working relationally and restoratively

  • Discovering your worth - reflection and wellbeing for staff
